Active citizenry refers to the collective engagement and participation of individuals within a
community in order to bring about positive change and contribute to the well-being of society.
Why?
Active citizenry is crucial in our community as it promotes a sense of ownership and
responsibility among us residents. When individuals actively participate in the betterment of their immediate environment, they contribute to creating a safer, cleaner, and more inclusive environment, fostering a sense of unity and cooperation, leading to stronger social bonds and a more cohesive community.
How?
Residents can engage in various actions that directly impact their community. This includes
reporting incidents when they see them, such as vandalism or suspicious behavior, as well
as updating the Pigeon Valley UIP office on unresolved issues, such as broken infrastructure
or safety concerns. Furthermore, keeping one's verge clean and tidy not only enhances the aesthetics of the neighborhood but also promotes a healthy and pleasant environment for the benefit of the entire community. These simple yet impactful actions demonstrate a commitment to actively contributing to the well-being of the community and inspire others to do the same.
We are in this together!
